Answer: The ink has barely dried on the contract, he is not even on the major league roster yet and has yet to report to the minor league affiliate he's been assigned. There is no telling what he will be for probably at least another 2 years. The Royals are heading in the right direction though. Pitching staff is better than a year before, the lineup is younger and has a lot of upside and they are more competitive. The Royals currently need more than one savior and some of them may already be there (Brian Bannister, Billy Butler, Alex Gordon).
