Question: If you wera a GM and you could take one player to build your team around would you take Adrian Peterson or Tom Brady? I'd be tempted to take Peterson given that he is only 22 and is averaging a ridiculous 6.6 yards a carry and has 300 more rushing yards than anyone else despite playing on a Viking offense that has absolutely no passing game to keep defenses honest. On the other hand, Tom Brady's won 3 Super Bowls (soon to be a 4th) and for all his brilliance, Adrian Peterson has still only played 8 games and had some trouble staying healthy at OU.
Answer: You can't take Adrian Peterson for one reason. Great running backs don't last as long as great running backs. As for getting people into the seats this year. I would right now pay more to see Adrian Peterson run the football than to see Tom Brady throw it. Second thing: Great quarterbacks have a bigger impact on your teams ability to win than running backs.
