What declares a Rookie, a rookie?

Question: I've heard if a rookie has less than 90 At bats in a season, the next year they are still considered a rookie. I've also heard the same about 130 At Bats. Obviously if a first year player only appears in 2 games, he would still be a rookie the next season, am i wrong. Also the same for a Pitcher. Thanks.

Answer: A rookie is someone who has not accumulated 130 at bats or 50 IP in his career, or has been on an active roster for more than 45 days (not including September call ups)
